Ann Arbor Retreat
We welcome you to stay and enjoy some gentle, loving care at our postpartum retreat. We will be hosting you at a small, but charming and cozy ‘boutique’ style hotel near the Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor where you will enjoy your own private room, complete with a mini kitchenette, and a private bathroom. Each room is secured by a keypad lock to provide a sense of privacy and security. The rooms are designed to provide sanctuary and comfort as you heal while we spoil you and your little one(s)!

At The Postpartum Sanctuary Retreat, mothers will receive round the clock care, assistance with newborn care and the chance to rest, nutritious meals daily, the incorporation of traditional postpartum healing practices such as belly binding, and the use of herbs to aid in recovery. Our team of postpartum specialists, pelvic floor therapists, and perinatal mental health therapists will equip parents with the knowledge and skills needed to continue healing at home through our interactive classes, support circles, and one-on-one sessions.

AirBnb location:
Check in will be at 12 PM and check out will be at 11 AM.
Can my partner join me?
Yes! While mom-focused, partners are welcome to join mothers during their stay. Meals will be provided for them as well.
Are kids and family members welcome?
Cambria Hotel location: While we highly recommend allowing yourself to have this time to yourself, we would suggest limiting it to as few people as possible. If you do bring children, we would recommend arranging food and childcare for them.
Otherwise guest hours are for between 12 PM and 6 PM.
AirBnb location: Due to the nature of our facilities and to ensure a peaceful environment for all of our guests, kids and other family members are not allowed to stay at the retreat. However, they are welcome to pop by for a one-hour visit daily during your short stay at our Airbnb location.
** Special considerations for moms who are tandem nursing babies 2 years and under. Please ask our team how we can best accommodate you.
Is the retreat covered by insurance?
Our retreat is not currently covered by insurances although you may discuss our services with your insurance provider (pelvic floor therapy and lactation services may be covered). We recommend checking if you have an HSA/FSA account through you or your partner’s jobs to see if they can cover your stay. BeHerVillage is another great option to get family and friends to help cover the cost.
**Reach out to our team members if you have Medicaid. Please note that while Medicaid will not fund your stay, it does cover some postpartum doula care.
